Thomas Beijer (Haarlem, 1988) has proven himself in recent years as one of the most interesting Dutch musicians. In February 2022, Thomas was awarded the Netherlandse Muziekprijs, the highest state award for classical musicians. The jury called Beijer a 'uomo universale' and praises his flawless technique and unique storytelling. This afternoon, this virtuoso pianist brings the works of Schumann, Chopin, De Falla and Escher to life.

Program:
Robert Schumann - Faschingsschwank from Wien opus 26
Rudolf Escher – Arcana
Manuel de Falla - 4 Piezas Espanolas
Frédéric Chopin - Sonata No. 3 in B minor opus 58

Thomas Beijer overbrugde de stormachtige passages met hartstochtelijke lyriek. Zijn verbluffende techniek stond geheel in dienst van zijn explosieve uitdrukkingskracht. -De Volkskrant - Jenny Camilleri
