LiCHT
Dado Dans
Dance and acrobatics for curious little ones
What do you see when you look into the light? And what happens when the light changes? In LiCHT, a dancer and an aerial acrobat explore with the audience how light shapes the world — sometimes bright and clear, sometimes mysterious and full of shadows. Light reveals, but it can also conceal.
This enchanting performance invites children aged 2 to 6 to watch, feel, and imagine. The performers move through a space where light, color, and reflections are constantly shifting. They dance, float, and play with shimmering water reflections, light beams through prisms, and moving shadows.
LiCHT is visual, interactive, and entirely wordless — making it easy for everyone to follow. The pace is calm and the atmosphere intimate, so even the youngest children feel safe and included in the experience.
Choreographer Gaia Gonnelli, together with her company Dadodans, creates dance performances especially for young audiences. She combines dance with other art forms such as music, visual arts, and acrobatics. Her work centers on materials and primary elements like shape, color, and sound, all designed to spark children's imagination.
At the heart of LiCHT is wonder. Through the dancers’ play with movement and light, a magical world emerges where anything seems possible. Children are taken on a gentle adventure that continually reveals something new — a sensory journey where watching, feeling, and discovering come together.
LiCHT is an invitation to both children and their adults to enjoy dance, color, and light together — a poetic journey through a world full of imagination.
